With 30 years average age of vines and spread out over 10 hectares, Chateau La Bourrée is produced in the area of Saint Magne de Castillon, on the plains in a clayey-sand soil. The grape variety proportions are the following; 70°Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc with a plantation density of 5000 plants per hectare. Our traditional method of agriculture ensures the preservation of the environment. After the pruning of January, the binding and folding of the canes, the de-budding and leaf thinning are undertaken each year with quality of the future wine as the objective. Our yield is around 45 hl per hectare that permits us to obtain a perfect maturity and concentration.
